Talking Tiger's Prospects PDF Print E-mail

Putting away the Christmas Tree, taking wrappings out to the corner, its freaking cold out, I need to shovel the drive-way..  and I'm thinking.. hey..  Spring Training is only 45 days away !!

So, we know that the 2008 season didn't go exactly according to plan.

The whole "I gotta biggy for Miggy" deal turned into a diaster (though Miggy is great), and Edgar Renteria, whom I was a big fan of, took a big dump in Big D.

The Tigers went into cost savings mode this winter after being one of two major league teams that had to pay a luxury tax in 2008.  DD turned in no big deals and a bunch of major league re-treads will show up on the Tigers roster in 2009.

So who are the prospects in the Tiger's system who might turn Spring Training on its ear and make an impact on the roster and in Tiger fans heart ?

LSR likes Noah Krol a bunch.   So does Motor City Bengals, which has him listed as their #29 prospect in the Tiger's system.   We think he is better then that, and will be in Motown sooner then the 2010 they project.

Other prospects we like..  further down in the system (there is no immediate help, barring miracle in the Tigers system) you'll find guys like Charlie Furbush, Brandon Hamilton and Casper Wells.  Never heard of them ?   You can check out these prospects and more at Take 75 North.

Lastly...  I'm still pissed that the Tiger's left Skelton unproteched in the Rule V draft..   Arizona is going to be happy they grabbed him, in fact, they are already making plans on how to use him.
