We have been saying for a couple of weeks here at LansingSportsRage.com that Urban Meyer is the guy the Fighting Irish are going after to replace Charlie Weiss.

Oh yea..  we said back in October that he was gone too.

But a new name has surfaced on the lips of some golden domers.

Mark Dantonio.

Now..   let me be the first to say that I don't think Mark Dantonio is going to leave.

I think that is required verbage to hold onto your Sparty Card year-after-year.

I think Spartans say that because they've never had a coach good enough that anyone else would pursue him.  Oh..  excecpt that Saban guy.  Satan.  He doesn't count because, well, because if I admit that the only good football coach MSU has had in 30 years left for greener pastures, then I'd have to concede that Dantonio might consider leaving.

And I can't handle that.
